Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 Insulated Hiking Boot
Hey OutWylders,
Today, I am highlighting the boot that I hunt and hike with while traversing the Absaroka Mountains in southern Montana. Kenetrek Boots HQ is in Bozeman, MT, founded by Jim Winjum, and handmade in Italy. Now, Kenetrek Boots offers footwear such as Mountain Boots, Pac Boots, Hiking Boots, Work Boots, Everstep Orthopedic Boots, and Safety Toe Boots for both men and women. Let’s dive into the Mountain Extreme 400.
While wearing my Kenetrek Boots… my feet never blistered or sweated, and my ankles always felt well supported.
I wear the Mountain Extreme 400 as an early to mid-season hunting boot. The Mountain Extreme 400 weighs 4.2lbs, has a 10’’ tall premium full grain uppers with one-piece construction for abrasion resistance and waterproofness. Also, the midsoles are 7mm nylon for extra support with pack loads, along with Windtex® waterproof breathable flexible membrane, 400 gram of Thinsulate™, and K-Talon™ outsoles for excellent traction makes the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 my choice of hunting boot.
While wearing my Kenetrek Boots, bow hunting and hiking, on high altitude mountain ranges, my feet never blistered or sweated, and my ankles always felt well supported. The last thing you want to experience is an ankle sprain at 10,000’ due to poorly made boots. Also, a feature not readily discussed but one of my favorites is that the eyelets and lace hooks swivel allowing you to personalize the pressure points when lacing each boot. They are extremely comfortable, my feet do not tire, and a bonus is the way Kenetrek tapers their heels, it gives you a sensation of the boot propelling you forward while hiking.
I highly recommend checking out Kenetrek Boots on Amazon.
Thanks for your support and remember to Get Out. Get Wyld.
